Privacy Policy
ToneLab.photo (“ToneLab”, “we”) is a photo editor that runs entirely in your web browser. This policy explains what we do — and mostly do not do — with your data.
Your photos never leave your device
All editing happens locally in your browser. Your photos, edits and preferences are processed on your device and stored only in your browser’s local storage. We do not upload, receive, store or have any access to your photos. There are no accounts and no sign-up to use ToneLab.
Payments
If you buy ToneLab Pro, the checkout and payment are handled by Paddle (Paddle.com), which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle collects the information needed to process your payment (such as your name, email and billing details) and applicable taxes, and is the data controller for that payment information. We receive from Paddle only what we need to confirm a completed purchase — for example a transaction identifier or the order email you provide when restoring Pro on another device. See Paddle’s privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
What we store in your browser
- Your current photo(s) and their edits, so your work persists between visits.
- A “Pro unlocked” flag and your Paddle transaction identifier, so Pro stays unlocked on that device.
- Small preferences (e.g. the last tab or setting you used).
This data lives only in your browser. Clearing your site data removes it; you can restore Pro using your order email or transaction ID.
Hosting & logs
The site is served by Vercel, which may process standard technical request logs (such as IP address and user-agent) to deliver and secure the site. We do not use these to identify you.
Your rights & contact
Because we don’t collect personal data ourselves, most requests about payment data should go to Paddle. For anything else, contact us at studiobalko@gmail.com.
